Gaylene is a female composer-musician of contemporary ambient music influenced by a generation of ambient, progressive rock and modern film soundtrack compositions. Her music has been favorably compared to the work of Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Peter Gabriel, and Enya. Her sonic palette includes vocals, synthesizers, flute and percussion, creating ethereal but substantive music that often transcends current instrumental genres. Originally created to provide the soundtrack for an exhibit at the Norwalk Maritime Center in Connecticut. The response from the visitors to the exhibit produced a recording of the project that was sold at the event and around the world. Gaylene has moved forward creating new and exciting material, which will feature her vocals.
